2005 season in review
The 2005 season was an up and down one.  We grabbed a win in June at LOS and finished the year very strong.  With had a few mechanical troubles in between and had to work the bugs out of one of our motors as well.  We tried a lot of things in 2005 with our setup & motors and feel we've got everthing pointed in the right direction.  With all that being said, we anxiously anticipate the 2006 season, one that we feel will be our best season yet.

After running 3rd in his heat, Tracy lined up 6th in the Feature.  Tracy worked his way up and claimed the runner up spot with Bryan Grimes winning.  Tracy was able to finish 5th in the points standings despite missing two races earlier in the year.

Lake Ozark Speedway
Tracy ran 5th in his heat after starting 6th.  Tracy lined up 14th in the Feature and worked the bottom nearly to perfection.  Tracy appeared to be the 2nd fastest car on the track (to Jon Corbin) for the last half of the race.  He was making a pass for 4th on the white flag lap when the caution came out.  Tracy didn't get a good restart and had to settle for 5th place.  Not bad considering we started in the back.

Lake Ozark Speedway
Tracy started 4th in his heat and ran a close second to Jerrod Hull.  Tracy started 12th in the A Main and moved up to 10th before breaking his right rear torsion bar and righ rear shock.  Tracy was able to ride out the last 2/3 of the race and come home 16th with a very ill handling car.

Tonight was the ASCS LOS Nationals Prelim.  Tracy started 6th in his heat and finished 5th on a heavy track.  He started 6th in the first B Main.  In the first lap, he was able to move up to 3rd, one spot out of a transfer position.  Coming down the backstretch on lap 2 Tracy moved into 2nd place by passing Mike Trent.  The caution came out on that lap to negate the pass.  On the restart, Mike took away his line and Tracy was never able to get back by him, despite stalking him the entire race.

Stop me if this sounds familar...we drew a high numbered pill tonight (#47 out of 50) so we started 7th in our heat race.  We would run 4th in our heat and line up 15th for the A Main.  Tracy drove his but off, and with a little setup help from ASCS driver Toby Brown, drove up to finish 7th.

State Fair Speedway
Once again we drew a high pill tonight.  We started 5th in our heat and were running 5th when Tracy's car bottomed out going into turn 1 in his heat race.  Tracy spun out as a result and was t-boned by another car.  Tracy flipped and the car was done for the night, but both drivers were ok.  We'll duct tape it back together and be at Lake Ozark Speeday next Saturday.

Things started off well for us tonight.  Tracy started 4th in his heat and finished a close 2nd to Mike Trent, who was driving the 19X again.  Tracy started 6th in the A Main, but the ignition went out on lap 3 and ended his night with a DNF.  Mike finished 5th.

Tonight Tracy decided to bring both cars out to Lake Ozark Speedway, with him piloting the #19 and Mike driving the #19X.  Tracy started 4th in his heat and finished 3rd and Mike won his heat from the pole.  On a rough race track Tracy moved from his 12th starting position to finish 9th.  Mike would come home a solid 3rd place.

July 31, 2005
Double X Speedway
Tonight was quite boring, because passing was at a premium.  We drew a really high number and had to start our heat race 5th.  We would then finish 5th in our heat race with a loose car.  Tracy started 15th in the feature and moved up to finish 11th in a race that only saw once caution (on lap 2).  Tracy was fast enough to run 5th, but there was nowhere to pass, as everyone was running the bottom of the track.

Lake Ozark Speedway
Tracy started 4th in his heat and followed Bryan Grimes home to finish 2nd.  Tracy stuck his nose below Grimes on lap 2 for the lead.  Tracy was faster at the time, but Bryan started to run the bottom after that and would win the heat race.  Tracy started 6th in the feature and the car wasn't too bad, but the competition ahead of him was stout.  Tracy would move up to finish 4th.

Lake Ozark Speedway
Tracy started on the pole for the heat race and finished 1st.  Tracy not only ran away by a straightaway over the 2nd place car, but he also set quick time of the night with a lap of 96 MPH.  We started pole in the feature, with Jesse Hockett beside us and Jon Corbin directly behind us.  The high line was definately preferred and Jesse had no problem taking the lead on the outset.  Jon got by us as well.  We spent the entire race in 3rd place, with a tight racecar.  We were running down the leaders in lapped traffic when a caution came out.  Tracy came home in 3rd.

The night started off bad when we drew a #49 pill out of 50.  This put us in the back of a nine car heat #1.  Despite ignition troubles, we were able to finish 5th and transfer into the A.  Tracy and Terry changed plugs, ignition, and cleaned the nozzles among other things to try to get the motor to run right for the feature.  After starting 13th, we moved up to finish 6th place and were not far from grabbing a top 5.  Congratulations to Eric Schrock for winning tonight.  Also a thanks goes out to Eric for letting us borrow an ignition for the feature.

July 9, 2005
Lake Ozark Speedway
We started our heat 2nd and that's where we finished.  This put us on the outside of the 2nd row for the feature.  Tracy made a Randy Martin-like move at the start to grab the lead in turn 1.  On lap 4, Doug Wilson got by Tracy for the lead.  The following lap, Doug knocked the front end out of his car by hitting a tractor tire located at the bottom of the track in turn 4.  Tracy got the lead back and would pull away for a few laps.  Jerrod Hull began to reel Nichols in and would sneak by with about 8 laps to go while the two were mired in heavy lapped traffic.  The car was just a little loose, so Tracy was unable to get back by.  We would end up settling for 2nd place.

July 8, 2005
Lee County Speedway
We started 4th in our heat and finished 3rd.  After startin the A Main 10th, Tracy fell back to 13th early on while fighting a loose car.  Shortly after the track started coming to him and he drove up to 9th place.  He would finish 9th and was catching 8th when the checkers fell.

Lake Ozark Speedway
Our struggles continued tonight.  We missed the setup in our heat and finished 6th.  We finished 2nd in the B Main to transfer into the A and start 17th.  The track was one lane around the bottom and passing was next to impossible.  We got by 5 cars to finish 12th.  Congrats to Jon Corbin for leading all 25 laps for the win.

Lake Ozark Speedway
Coming off of a win just on week ago at this track, we had a good feeling going into tonight.  After starting fourth in our heat we moved up to finish third in a very quick heat behind the likes of Mike Trent and Jerrod Hull.  We start 8th in the A Main and were looking forward to a solid top 5 run.  However, we were ran over on the start by another competitor and a broken left front shock was sustained.  Tracy spent the entire race hanging on for dear life and ended up finishing a respectable 13th.

State Fair Speedway
The heat race tonight went pretty well.  Tracy started 5th and would finish 2nd and he was catching up to the leader when the checkers fell.  This put us on the outside of the 2nd row for the feature.  Brian Brown slipped by us on the start and we ran 5th for a few laps.  Ricky Logan overtook us a few laps later to move us back to 6th.  After a late race caution, Toby Brown was able to get by us on a restart.  We finished 7th with a slightly loose car.  Our average finish in the last four races is 4.5.

FINALLY!!!  After last nights race, we decided to bring out last year's car w/our old motor in it.  We also decided the drive the the lake tonight and not travel with the WOW to Lebanon.  We drew a #2 pill and would start on the pole of our heat as a result.  Tracy drove into turn 1 and away from the field to win his heat race by half a lap.  This heat win, our first of the year, would enable us to start on the pole of the A Main.  Nichols drove into turn 1 and went to the top.  Immediately he started to drive away from the field.  He began to work lap traffic and extended his lead.   A red flag came out on lap 13.  Under the red flag, Tracy told Terry and me, that the car was making a noise in the rear end.  As the laps ticked down and we continued the lead, the grinding noise got louder and louder.  Tracy led all 25 laps and won his first race of the season by a straightaway.  After the race we inspected the rear end and found lots and lots of metal shaving in the rear end grease - it didn't have very many laps left on it.  A thank you goes out to Putnam Chevrolet, Pro Powder Coating, and Maxim for supporting us..

June 17, 2005
Bolivar Speedway
The W.O.W. traveled to Bolivar tonight and once again we just didn't have a good heat race.  We started 5th and moved up one position to finish 4th.  Tracy started the A Main 12th and was running in the top 10 by turn 2.  However, a red flag came out for a tangle in the back of the pack.  His next start, he just did not get a good jump on - he fell back to 14th.  A few laps later the car started running better and he charged back to the front.  The car was solid tonight, but the motor still isn't running right.  We would finish 6th place.  Randy Martin won.

Tonight Team 19 gained a lot of confidence.  We decided to take last years car out for the first time this year.  We drew a #49 pill which made us start our heat race 8th.  With some "wide" cars in front of us we were only able to finish 5th.  Tracy started the A Main 15th and started working the bottom groove.  After cracking the top 10, Tracy moved to the cushion and proceeded his charge to the front.  With 3 laps to go Nichols was running 4th place.  At the drop of the checkered flag, Tracy finished side by side with Curtis Boyer but did not quite get by him.  The car was awesome tonight and I only wish we could have started higher up in the field.

Central Missouri Speedway
There really isn't much to say...we ran on 6 cylinders in hot laps, 6 cylinders in our heat race and finished 4th in the B Main after starting 7th.  Brian Brown, Jamie Passmore and Mike Trent finished 1-3 in our B Main.  Pretty stout field for a B Main.

May 28, 2005
24 Raceway
After tonight, we've pretty much had it with our new car.  Once again, she did not want to drive well off of the corners.  Tracy ran 5th in his heat and 12th in the A Main.  We're going ot our backup car tomorrow night.

May 21, 2005
Valley Speedway
Yet again, we drew a high numbered pill and started in the back of our heat race.   Tracy looked awesome in his heat, fighting his way up to 2nd place after starting 6th.  In addition, Nichols kept gaining on the leader, but was unable to overtake by race end.  Tracy started 4th in the feature, and stayed 4th or 5th all race long.  We did not make the proper adjustments before the feature, thus making Tracy loose entering the turns as well as insufficient forward bite exiting the turns.  The night wasn't a complete failure, however, as we picked up our first top 5 finish of the year.

May 20, 2005
Lee County Speedway
Once again we started in the back of our heat.  We were able to inish 4th after starting 7th and transfer to the A Main.  After starting 14th in the A, we were able to work up to 8th place.  After a couple near spinouts right in front of us we fell back to 15th.  After Jake Peters tried to take us out late in the race a caution came out.  We were able to get by one more car to finish 14th after the restart.

May 14, 2005
Lake Ozark Speedway
We started 8th in our heat and finished 5th.  The track officials struggled greatly to understand the "passing points system."  As a result we were mistakenly placed in the B Main instead of the A.  On the start of the race we made contact with another car and spun out.  Since it was a one-lane track, we were unable to get back through the field.  Tracy finished a disappointing 9th in the B Main.

May 7, 2005
Lake Ozark Speedway
We started off the evening wicked fast in hot laps.  In the heat race, we did not keep up with the adjustments, as the track got slick really fast.  Tracy started 6th and finished 3rd in his heat.  Due to passing points, we started the A Main 8th.  Tracy worked his way up to 5th and kept harrassing the 4th place car.  Finally, Nichols tried the top of the track to try to get around him.  Tracy nearly spun out and fell back to 10th as a result.  This was the 2nd night in a row that our finishing position did not reflect how good we were.

May 6, 2005
US 36 Raceway
Tracy got behind the wheel of a 410 for the first time in 2 1/2 years.  Tracy struggled in qualifying, placing 15th out of 18 cars.  Nichols started 5th in his heat and was making a move for 3rd early on when and oil line broke.  Now, Tracy would start the A Main 15th.  Tracy methodically moved up by utilizing the bottom.  Tracy was running 9th and was making a pass for 8th on the final lap when that car cut him off.  Tracy checked up and dropped back to a 10th place finish.  This was still a successful night for team 19, as we got the bugs out of our 410 motor.

April 23, 2005
Knoxville Raceway
Team 19 made a trip up to Knoxville tonight.  The evening was cool and so were we.  First, we drew a high pill and started our heat race 7th.  We finished 7th in the heat due to a tight car, and were forced to the C Main.  After finishing 2nd in it, Tracy had to start at the tail of the B.  The car ran pretty good in the B, but Tracy got a bad start because they nearly stacked up in front of him.  Tracy was able to move up to 15th and that was the end of our night.

April 16, 2005
LA Raceway
Tracy started on the pole in his heat and finished 2nd to Randy Martin.  Tracy started and finished the feature 6th.  A decent start to the season, but Tracy battled a tight car all night.
